Grandma Lucy's Freeze Dried Treats from #Chewy #Sponsored

This month's blogger outreach offerings from Chewy.com were very impressive. It is always nice when a kitty blog that has food restrictions can participate in blogging campaigns, and not only participate, but participate with a food item. Since I am avoiding as many plant based ingredients as possible so freeze dried treats are right up my alley.

I had never heard of the Grandma Lucy's brand before, so I thought I would give that a try, as I am always looking for new yummy treats for The Crew.

When I opened the package I felt sure this was going to be a failure. The pieces were large and harder than the freeze-dried treats I normally buy.

but you simply never know until you give something a try

Hey Mikey, she likes it!! Actually everyone who tried it liked it. One down side was because of the harder texture and the size there was a bit of debris left behind, which wasn't eaten by anyone for the next day or so - which is very unlike my cats - but they were totally willing to take another piece and run off with it and make more debris for me to clean up, so a total win for them.

Thank you again Chewy.com for letting me participate in your blogger outreach program.  If you have a blog and are interested in receiving free product to review each month, you can contact Sydney at Chewy. Tell them we sent you ;)

  1. I say there's nothing like FRESH raw treats! I do like the freeze dried treats too - but prefer them not as hard.

  2. It is so nice to see cats enjoying their food! If the cat likes it, then this is a hit! :)

  3. We tried their chicken treats a while back and though we ate them, we thought they were pretty hard to chew. They were also hard to break up into cat-sized pieces. Were these in small enough pieces to begin with?

  4. I've never tried pork with our gang. They too prefer the softer freeze-dried treats.

  6. We've tried the Grandma Lucy treats before. They are kinda big and the mom would try to break them up for us. But we liked them!

  7. They look yummy, but why does it say DOG treats?
