I've actually had that site bookmarked for a long time.

None of my cats gets a high kibble diet -- Annie prefers canned to dry anyway, which is good. And the boys already are at high risk for crystals, so they get mostly canned too. I add water to all of it, every day. I don't feed raw, not because I disagree with it -- quite the contrary -- but because I'm not tough enough to starve them to get them on it, as a former co-worker of mine did. Mine cats don't even like human food.

So I compromise and try to stay away from grains, especially corn/soy/wheat. Nicki gets diarrhea if he doesn't get any fibre, though, or if the food is too rich, and I've been trying various premium grain-free foods for almost 4 years. Most they all refuse to touch, but a few they'll nibble at. I've learned that the best food in the world won't do any good if the cat won't eat it. So I compromise -- a mix of better-than-average to really good food and hope for the best!Keahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06809655107065918944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3859669.post-65050589601891262942011-01-04T17:36:58.859-05:002011-01-04T17:36:58.859-05:00Purrs to them for a normal and quick recovery!
