Kiva

Have you ever heard of Kiva?  It is a microloan company that lends to impoverished people to help them get out of poverty.

I've been a member for quite a while, reloaning the same $25 to help six different women in six different countries (Tajikistan, Uganda, Peru, Paraguay Nigeria and Mongolia).  I find it really interesting to find people to lend to, and I'm always so happy for them when I get repaid.  Sometimes they take longer then they said they would to repay, but so far no one has defaulted.
