Good News vs Bad News

So.. good news.  Momma kitty gained some weight.  She was 4lbs 14 oz last I weighed her last night, she weighed 5lbs 4 oz this morning.

So the bad news.  She vomited up some of the food I force fed her.  In that vomit was some what I can only describe as dietary indiscretion..   Hopefully this is good news in that now that it is out she'll start feeling better... but I have a feeling she is going to meed medical help to get over this because she looked ever so uncomfortable when the kittens were nursing.

I will bring her to the shelter tomorrow along with what she vomited up and see what they want to do. Chances are they will want to wait until Monday to get her to a vet and unless her health dramatically changes between now and tomorrow I don't disagree with that decision.

So Purrs for her that she doesn't even need me to bring her to the shelter and that she's eating in the AM, but if not, purrs that everything works out OK for her.. I would so hate for her to have to have surgery with seven mouths to feed..

  2. Oh, dear. We're purring for momma kitty that she doesn't have to undergo surgery to remove whatever she shouldn't have eaten. That's a big litter for her to be raising while she's not feeling well.

    1. I really have no idea. there are some black string like things which look a bit like dust pan and brush bristles and something black which was hard and something greenish which may be plastic.. I didn't go digging around too hard
