Shooting at the Shelter Series

After Issac Arnold and Smedley were on their way home, I decided to stay and take some photos of the kitties.  It was interesting in that there was one whole room that was empty.  I asked about it and was told they were saving that for some cats they were transferring in.  It is nice that the shelter does so well they can help out others like that. They have been importing dogs for years with a cat here and there.  I like that they are expanding.

But because the kitties were in only three rooms instead of four it was a little hard to maneuver around the people looking at them.  I figured people looking to adopt should have precedence over my little hobby; as a result I only know the name of a few of them.

This little gray boy was named Ewok.  I thought he had a very interesting face and so wanted to capture it, but he refused to sit still - even with assistance he was wiggly.. he was super cute and I bet he already has a home.

This big buff / orange boy is Sushi, a 'long term' resident, which generally means a few months.  They put him in a condo in the lobby to highlight him.  He too was too busy asking for attention to get a decent photo.

This is Sadie.. she's nine years old and over weight.. she very much wanted something to eat so I found a bag of treats and she was very happy, as were the other cats in the room, and I gave treats to all the cats who were awake and made any noise. By the time I was done with the treats someone came in the room so I left..

I then went into the community room.  There was a family standing next to the cage cards for the cats so I have no idea who is who, but they were all quite beautiful.

This one reminds me so much of Fleurp
I then went back into the nursery to see if they had any kittens - even though I had an express 'command' from my husband in which he said "Do not come back with any more kittens!"

All they had were a couple of little feral kittens.. totally my favorite, but I have my hands full, so I didn't even say hello.  On my way out I saw this..

*giggle* guess I'm no longer the only one to do write ups on foster kittens.. and I just love the description.. Truly loving, good-natured and fabulous.. Yup, that's what happens to kittens when they are fostered..
