Doing better

Dorian is definitely brighter.  He isn't 100% but he is definitely doing better.  He's back to trying to push his way through the bars which is good.

Simon and Schu are starting to catch on that cats are supposed to be clean.  I was talking to them before letting them out for their run while I cleaned their cage.  Simon had all kinds of junk smooshed in between his toes.  I mentioned that it was his job to wash his foot. At which point Simon started to lick the side of his foot.  After a few random licks, he brought his foot down towards his chest like he was trying to clean that off too, but if that were the case his coordination was completely off.  It was so funny I actually rolled on the floor laughing.  When I finally sat up Simon was just looking at me very confused like... which was almost funnier.

I'm thinking once I'm able to let them all run cage free Agatha and Dorian will teach them how to groom properly... if not they'll do it for them.  Henry, well Henry is just going to chew on their tails.  He is tail obsessed and it is really cute.  Dorian didn't much appreciate it when he was trying to eat or use the litter box.

and Jane, if you could email me, I would appreciate it.

  1. Sounds like fun seeing kitties trying to figure out how to bathe!

  2. yep - them little ones are trouble. I remember once having 4 week old kittens that were BARELY weaned... there were baths every few days - they were a mess from head to tail. My one male cat loves kittens and even he walked into the bathroom, took one look and walked back out. I laughed like mad..... :)
