|Scene of the crime, but you have to imagine it with out the kitten...|
I forgot that today being Wednesday meant the shelter was closed to the public and thus closed earlier than normal. When I stopped by at the end of the day (because no one emailed me or called me to give me any information) everyone was gone..
Fortunately there was a dog training class so I could sneak in and attempt to take Scotty home, but when I got to his cage he wasn't there. All of his blankets and toys were there, which leads me to believe someone snagged him and took him home for the night. I'm not shocked by this in the least. Annoyed, but not shocked. If they had just called or emailed me to let me know I would have been perfectly OK with it.
When I stopped by yesterday to see him he was doing better. His stools were better but still loose - think frosting on a hot day.. he had put on an ounce, and was bright eyed and purring.
The vet tech at the shelter clinic asked about him, saying she had someone who was interested in adopting a short haired orange kitty. I said he seemed to be doing better and would most likely be ready for adoption in three to four weeks.. No idea if she took him home or if one of the staff took him.. but with the cage still set up with all his stuff (including food and litter) I'm sure someone just took him for the night.
Since his litter was still there, I was able to see his stools were better formed, so things are looking very good for him.
