So I stopped off at the shelter yesterday to hug a kitten or four.. there were a half dozen or more up for adoption, so I happily got in a number of kitten cuddles. One sweet black girl had fur as soft as a bunny and enjoyed cuddling up under my chin for quite some time.
But these were older kittens and I was jonesin for something a bit smaller, so I asked if I could visit the kitten nursery. There was nothing small and furry in there, but there was smaller and furry. Four little siblings and three were not of weight, and the shelter assistant manager asked me if I wanted to take them for a bit.
Yeah, like I could say no to that..
They are healthy and of size, and oh so much fun, so if I get distracted with Jack it won't be that big of a deal to them.
I've got two black, one gray and one 'long hair gray tiger' which I think is brown.. Two boys (gray and black) and two girls and three double paws (the gray boy does not) and they are leapers.. well the boys are anyway.. I'm going to have to make a video to capture it. One came with a name, named by a girl who had her birthday party at the shelter. She named the long haired one TigerLily. I'm thinking the rest will have flower names, then the gray boy started leaping and I really want to call him grasshopper.
They should only be here for a week or two, which works out nicely with my upcoming trip.
