A new experience for the kittens
One of my self-imposed responsibilities when fostering kittens is to introduce the kittens to as many new and 'weird' things as I can. This helps them be open to the new experiences that are yet to come.
One thing I've found to be helpful is to dress kittens up in clothing. I know, I know, there is a large segment of the population who thinks this is torture to cats, but it is not. It is only a problem if you do not listen to the cat. You only need to get them used to it. Being of a young age where new experiences are learning experiences, kittens are generally very accepting of it.. be it walking on a harness, taking baths, wearing clothing, etc.
Trina could not have cared any less. She had a bit of an interest in the tutu part of the shirt for a moment or two, but she was easily distracted with a toy. Max thought his sweater was completely inappropriate for the situation and tried to nibble it off, but when I told him that it was very fetching he almost instantly turned into a GQ model.
Both kittens adjusted to this new stimulus very quickly and I have no doubt they'll do very well where ever they land.

Did the cardboard house survive the kittens?
As you can see, the house is still standing. The chimney disappeared, I'm not quite sure where they hid it. Although I'm not sure I can say it is intact...
Max wants you to know that he thought it was yummy (although he might have been referring to the dinner he just finished eating.
I asked Trina if she wanted to play Godzilla one more time, I don't think she was amused at the idea, but she did put up with me.
Pretty sure they would prefer to play with real cat toys from now on...

The kittens' house trashing party
I bought this little cardboard "color it yourself" house a while back and it has been a toy for several sets of kittens. It has held up remarkably well, but I have a feeling Max is going to be the end of it. When I first put it down for them he immediately ripped the chimney off and started chewing on it. All kittens like chewing cardboard, I think it is like a teething toy for them, and he is no exception. He was a little annoyed with me when I put it back on the house and he promptly wandered off as if to show me. He could not resist it though and returned rather quickly. As long as he has fun, that is what is important.

What do Mississippi Foster Kittens think of raw food?
This photo pretty much captures the initial thoughts of Max and Trina when I offered them raw food. Max only looks like that because of the flash on my camera, but I could hear him loud and clear wondering what on earth his sister was eating every time he checked out the plate. Watch the video yourself and see if you can't hear him tell you that this is not food!!
Eventually, Max came around to give it a serious try and he found out he really liked it. It's like I know what I'm doing or something.. smh... silly kittens.
I will admit, after they had a meal of raw food, they started to feel heavier for their size. I know it is most likely an accumulation of everything they've eaten over their time here, but I can pretend otherwise.
