Super Heros story time with Travelin Jack

When it is time for the kittens to go back to be neutered, I like to have "story time" where I explain to them what is going to happen over the next few days. I know a lot of people have a negative connotation when it comes to neutering and how upset kittens will be over losing their bits, but I frame it as a right of passage.

I know that they don't understand the words, but somehow I do feel they know. When I forget story time, packing them up seems more stressful for everyone. Since this group is already neutered, they are going back to be adopted. They have an adoption event waiting for them at PetCo on Saturday so I talked about their next great adventure that will involve whole homes to roam and beds to sleep on. And who better to help me with "tails" of adventure than Travelin Jack?

I am going to sleep *on* the people! - Robin

It is always a little bit sad when the kittens have to go. I like having them here and having Batman meep at me but I know that going is important and they have people out there waiting for them (even if they don't know it yet)

Good luck little ones and thank you for sharing part of your life with me

An Evo duck smorgasbord thanks to Chewy

Momma, we are bored. Can we have a pool party like Traveling Jack did a few years ago? ~Skippy

Well, Skippy, unfortunately, our pool developed a leak, so the pool is out of commission at the moment..  (This post is brought to you by who sent me the food for free to share on my blog with you)

But mom!! The bee is using the pool! ~Skippy

Dude, did you forget you're a cat and you don't like water? How about I give you a different kind of treat? We have a review to do for Evo canned food.

Evo makes a line of grain-free foods that are 95% animal protein. In this case, it is duck but there is also a "chicken and turkey" variety too. I like that it has a simple ingredient list, you like it because

It's CANNED FOOD!  I want this.

Mine ~Jack

Muffin, are you drooling? Okay okay, let me get a couple of plates..

The food is a nice soft pâté that doesn't have that strong of an odor, which is nice. I don't know, do you think you guys will like this? 😉

Mom, can we have some more? ~Jack

When it was all said and done they polished off five cans of this, and I have no doubt they would have been happy to inhale a sixth. To see all six cats eating at the same time is impressive. Usually, they eat in shifts so they don't have to cluster in like that so to see them do this means the food was worth it.

Thank you to Chewy for giving us this opportunity to share this product with you. (and Jack wants to thank you for the noms)

Could you be a little more specific, Miss?

The last few days with the kittens

The kittens are doing well. They are super high energy - especially Superman and The Hulk who love to wrestle at full intensity. Batman likes to meep at me, it is super sweet. He meeps to get me to pet him, he meeps at me when I'm done running my hand down his body to tell me to do it again.

I have been impressed with how well-mannered these kittens are Batman and Spiderman (the two who were most shy when they arrived) are usually the first to climb up on my lap for a little attention.

I attempted a photo shoot yesterday, several of the photos were a little fuzzy because they move so fast. Hopefully,  I can pull together a decent post with them anyway, because it was kinda cute.

But today we have close-ups. Just a reminder, they are going back to the shelter on Friday.
