The kittens are getting so big!
Apparently mom makes the best bed eva.. ;)
I swear I can actually watch them grow it is a little odd. Four out of five now have their eyes open. The three tigers are having the hardest time with this stage in life. One girl's eyes are still not open, the other and the boy each have had both eyes open then their right eye keeps sealing itself back up for some reason. I've tried purelube in it on the off chance they just weren't making enough tears, but last night there was the smallest amount of thicker discharge, so I used a bit of coconut oil which is antibacterial and antiviral (and pretty soothing to the eye, I know I use it in mine) and if that doesn't work I'll contact the shelter and see what they want to do about it.
I'm getting much closer to naming day, I'm thinking tomorrow if things don't change. I took their photos last night and they came out really great..I can't wait :)
(Eli did well enough at the vet. He did lose one tooth, and had a lot of tartar. Sadly he also has lost a pound since going to the vet last December, which freaks me out to no end. I will be keeping a close eye on his weight over the next couple of weeks and we'll go from there)

ReplyDeleteThey are absolutely the cutest babies. We can't wait to find out their names. Hope the eye thing ends up not being serious. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteWow, they ARE growing up fast! Purrs to Eli - I hope his weight loss doesn't mean much of anything.
ReplyDeleteOh, those babies...! Sigh.
ReplyDeleteGood news re: Eli's dental. One tooth isn't too bad, all in all. Purrs to him and paws crossed that he doesn't lose any more weight.
Great fun watching Mammakitty hop out to greet you. It's clear how trusting she is when she's rubbing back and forth in front of your legs, not a care in the world that you're picking up her kittens.
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how fast they grow. Purrs for Eli.
ReplyDeleteOh there is nothing sweeter than a kittenpile!
ReplyDeleteeyeballs!!!! :)
ReplyDeletepoor Eli....we hope he is doing ok and it isn't anything to worry about
The stripes and the little fat bellies are killing me.
ReplyDeleteLove to Eli. <3
Oh they're just too cute. Our human hasn't had any experience with kittens and her heart is melting right now.
ReplyDeleteEmma and Buster
Glad Eli's dental wasn't too bad, but am betting his mouth is a bit sore right now! The kittens, with their round bellies and flipped-down ears, are just to cutest. Thank you for fostering that cat family!
ReplyDeleteWe send purrs to Eli. The kittens are growing up so fast ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteThey sure are growing up fast! Big purrs to Eli (and to you while you worry). Could his damaged tooth have been impacting his food intake?
ReplyDeleteThat they are and still oh so cute
ReplyDeleteThat is a whole lotta cute! Purrs to Eli from all of us.
ReplyDeleteAw, they grow up so fast.....
ReplyDeleteWe're glad things went well for Eli.
I hope everything will be ok with Eli. I was wondering the same about maybe his damaged tooth effecting his appetite. The kittens are so cute. What a beautiful family they are!
ReplyDeleteSuch cuties! I will pray for Eli.
ReplyDeleteThe kitties are so incredibly adorable! It must be wonderful to watch them grow :)
ReplyDeleteWe hope Eli won't need to go to the vet's for a very long time after this. Poor baby!
the critters in the cottage xo
They are so adorable, even more so now that their eyes are opening. Hope they don't have any major issues.
ReplyDeleteGlad Eli came through okay, and I hope his appetite is improving.
