Skippy gets a new bow tie

Skippy is a little hard on his bow ties. Some he can wear for months, some a little longer, but inevitably he 'squishes' them and gets them covered with fur and food, and they start looking a little ratty. Sometimes I try refreshing them up and have him wear them again, but I thought it was time to buy a new one.

I saw a burger bow tie at Global, so I did a search online and found one at the Woof Meow Shop on Etsy. It was a little bit more than I wanted to pay for a bow tie, but after the cheeseburger post I did a while back, I could not resist. I placed my order and then promptly forgot about it.

When it didn't arrive I went back to my order and saw a notice from Micel apologising letting me know that she was out of the "small" size and offered a larger size. I replied that I was sad, but to cancel my order because it was for my cat Skippy. She replied with 'in that case, I will remake one of the larger ones into a smaller one for you.'

It showed up fairly quickly after our conversation and the packaging alone made me want to blog about this. I mean look at the stickers she placed on it, especially the one on the back.

I wanted to open it up right away and take a peek at it, but she did such a good job at wrapping it up to mail, I made myself wait so I could take photos of the packaging as well.

Fleurp thought she should help with the photo taking.. because why wouldn't she? She usually gets treats when I bring the camera out.

I love that the bow tie was tied to the card so that it was super easy to remove. The bow tie itself was a bit squishy like there was a little padding inside of it. I'm hopeful this one will stand up to Skippy squishing it when he lays down.

But, how would it look on Skippy??

Um, Momma, you have it on upside down you know..

If you would like your own bow tie, check out the Woof Meow Shop and you can use the code WMFRIEND for 20% off. (no expiration date!)

Annoying Disclosure: I'm blogging about this because of awesome customer service and super cute bow ties. I was not compensated for this post in any way, but you know.. if a new bow tie shows up in my mailbox, Skippy isn't going to complain 😸
