Charlotte is still healing
Well it has been a bit over a week since Charlotte had her surgery. She is healing nicely, but she is still so very small and with great big patches of fur missing from her surgeries she's tends to gravitate towards the warmth of the heaters, but still runs when we walk into the room or make loud noises. She does like to play, but I think that it is a bit uncomfortable for her as she tends to be reserved in her play, and sometimes when she 'over does it' she stops playing for a while.
Mostly she just sits around looking uber adorable and waiting to see what is going to happen..
She will be getting her stitches off soon. I've been tempted to put a little tshirt or sweater on her to help keep her warm, but I don't want to stress her out. She does enjoy cuddling - I'm assuming it is mostly because it is warm to cuddle. We are still working on getting her to over come her fear and seek out attention. I'm sure it will come in time..

So glad to read she's healing well! Photos #2 and #3 are terrific, what a sweetie she is. Look at her eyes! :-)
ReplyDeleteI am so happy Charlotte is healing up. Euch an adorable face!
ReplyDeleteshe is adorable - bet as she starts feeling closer to 100% she will turn a corner :)
ReplyDeleteShe is so beautiful! What a little lady.
ReplyDeleteOh my cod! Look at that face. Glad to hear she is healing up…I hear you about clothes on cats…..some of my fosters like Beantown Chester LOVED them. Most cats have a funny way of putting on that Oscar worthy performance of falling over and such like it's the end of the world to wear a sweater.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could try to put a sweater over her head first to see how she reacts to it? I know Tutu appreciated the sweater when she was having the flu and would wear it all day. But as soon as she got better, she would try to take it off. :)
ReplyDeleteThat face is so adorable! I could kiss it all day long. :)
She is adorable and I am sure you can help her overcome that fear and shyness!
ReplyDeleteWhat a darling little girl! I love torties! Wishing her a speedy recovery and a wonderful forever family!

ReplyDeleteIf anyone can help her acclimate, it's you, Aunty Connie! Mommy sez she's ADORBS and WE say do NOT ship her down here! (MOL)
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a cutie.

We wish the pix would load! Gigi sounds a lot like MMM - what scares her, the way she reacts, what she doesn't like. She might surprise you by letting you put a sweater on her. MMM is enjoying being under covers!
ReplyDeleteHow are her blood sugar numbers? As a diabetic, I find it's normal for them to vary, depending on what, how much and when the last meal was.
What a little doll! I'm glad she's doing well!
ReplyDeletekeep getting better sweetie pie. you re so cute.

I am partial to torties and it has been lonely since losing my tortie Queen last month... I wish I lived close I would love to come by and snuggle her up!
