Naming of the Kittens - Mina and the Monsters

Somehow I got the name Mina in my head for MommaKitty and she has been Mina ever since. It really seems to fit her so I decided to go with it. I mentioned that if I was going to go with Mina that I wanted to name the kittens after monsters since Mina is a character in "Dracula". Lots of names were thrown around, and a plea by Laurie who wanted me not to give them monster names because names do have power, and I ended up settling on the following names

The Kraken
Nessie (beauty dot on left cheek)
Zilla (beauty dot on right cheek)
Zookey (white footed boy)
Sulley
The Kraken will always be referred to as "The Kraken" unless I come up with a nickname for him. Since he was the first one to try to get out of the nest the name only seems fitting. I have actually called him Crackle (Krakle??) but we'll see what comes of it. I adore this name but I totally reserve the right to rename him.

I am hoping that I named Zilla right.  I think she is the one that ends up cuddled next to Zookey all the time, but it has been very hard to be sure because they all look so similar when they are in the kittenmoshpit. If you ever watched Creature Double Feature you'll understand these names..

Sadly we are still having eye issues. I don't quite understand it as it only is an issue with the white footed kittens. Their eyes aren't inflamed at all, but yet they are still sealing up each time after I wash them and get them open again. Everyone seems very health; eating, active, no sneezing, no discharge other than a very small amount of slightly thick eye discharge. If this is the worst thing we deal with, I will consider myself VERY lucky.

  9. I'd probably end up calling him Kracker, or Krackee...I tend to go with 'eee' sounds on the end. Cute names for very cute kittens!
