The kittens formally known as The Spitters

Adele, Keith and Tina
"TKFKATS"s are doing well.. they are gaining weight and eating well.  Tina gave me a scare the other day, she didn't come out for breakfast and when I finally found her she had a fever of 103.4 (norm is 101-102)  I rushed her to the shelter and they gave her the once over, gave her some fluids and sent me home with some clavamox to help with the fever.  She was visibly improved after the fluids and even that evening she barely showed any sign of issues.

It is not easy telling them apart.  Adele is easier because a) she is solid black with no frosting and b) she has impressive ear tufts.  Keith is the smaller of the three.  He has HUGE ear canals though, so I have a feeling when he gets his growth spurt he'll really start growing.. but until then his ears make him seem like has a rounder head.  Tina is also has more frosting than Keith..

They are sweet, and like attention, but they are not lap kittens at this stage in their life.  Will they be?  I can see it as they will come sit near me and hang out.. they like belly rubs.. and Adele always seems to be smiling.. but even if they don't, they are wonderful kittens who will make their new owners happy.

  6. Two summers ago we had a feral female in our neighbourhood who gave birth to two males kittens that were pitch black just like Mom (who we named Cleopatra). I'm reminded of this looking at your little ones.........so cute and it's amazing just how fast they will grow!
