Transporting kitties - pt 2

So, as we left off yesterday, "Ginger" and her kittens had just arrived in Maine and had gotten a look at "Bonnie" Wendy's dog.

who cares about the dog, lets get out of this car!

After they spent the night at Wendy's we headed out again and went to Hart to drop them off. We had a shorter journey this time, "Ginger" the mom didn't settle down as easily, but she still traveled very well.

There is always joy around kittens, and this was no exception.  They were so happy to see them.  They got to run around a bit at the shelter, but then were going to be picked up by the home that is fostering them (which oddly enough was much closer to where we started out from)

These six kittens, these band of siblings (and mom) went from death row to the good life. It took about $500 to do it and the aren't neutered yet.  Sometimes throwing money at the problem is the solution.  It isn't a solution that will save all of them, but it will save some, or one..
or seven..

  10. Yay for the good life! And good deeds done by good people. Connie, if you need transport through Maryland, consider me. I work full time and it might have to be done on weekends, but I'd be willing to try to help.

  13. What a good feeling it was to help these kittens and the ones headed to New Hampshire... so many people helped in so many ways... wish it was not necessary but glad we can make a difference in these sweet peas lives (and yes Connie... I am still obsessing over Pumpkin...)

  16. I sure miss this family. I was sooo tempted to keep them but, with 14 already, it wasn't possible. I'm just happy to have had them in my life at all. Ginger is a delightful and PURRfect cat and those kittens are as cute as they can be. Thank you all for your work in saving them. I pray they get the wonderful, forever homes that they deserve.
