Monday Morning Muffin

Morning.. ~Muffin
I brought Abby and Chandler back to the shelter this weekend.  It kinda hurt to do it, as I know there was a lot more work that could be done with them, but I feared I'd never get them off insulin - especially since the insulin I had was less than effective. It only lasted 10 hours not the standard 12. There is only a small amount of the bottle left, so they will get a new bottle soon enough.

I felt so weird to not have to go down and test them that night. It is funny how quickly you get used to something. Even now I still feel the pull to care for them, but there is only so much I can do, and right now taking care of the two of them is not in the cards for me.

Muffin, for one, is glad.. more time for snuggles.

  2. You did what you could for Abby and Chandler - and that's all you can do.

  3. You are simply amazing, Connie, to provide the best care for Chandler and Abby even though their stay was short. I don't know how you do it. I know every kitty that comes your way is loved to pieces. I hope you can take a much needed break with your crew.

  4. Abby and Chandler are better-regulated than they were before you started, and that's a huge step forward. You do so much for the kitties, and we're sure the crew is glad to have you to themselves for a little bit while kitten watch continues.

  12. Paws crossed for those sweet fosters…I have heard you say it before, it's so hard…but it's the only way they are going to find a home. I can't spend any time in the adoption center. Ironically you can send me into one thousand hoarding cases but I can't spend one minute watching people look at my fosters. I believe that wonderful families are adopting them but I just can't take part in that process.
Muffin….is SO adorable in a sweet snuggly way!

  13. That must be so hard for you. Sending big purrs to them both for their health and for finding wonderful forever homes. (Sweet pic of Muffin.)
