This month's Chewy's blogger program (which offers several different products for free in exchange for an honest review) offered two different types of treats that I could feed my cats. I must say I do appreciate it that they carry so many different treats that aren't 'junk food'. Not that there is anything wrong with giving an occasional treat of something that is less than ideal nutritionally - that is if you have a cat that can tolerate it. Since I have one that doesn't we are so limited here,
I have tried the PureBites before but now they have ten different flavors to choose from. I had not seen the duck option before so I thought I would give it a try. Duck has a pretty good track record over here.
I found it interesting that they gave us both white and dark meat within one package. You rarely see that as most treats only give you breast meat. But, as always, the big question is, would the cats like it?
Treats here are often inhaled before I can get a good photo, and these were no exception. I only got this one because one of the pieces I gave her was a little too big to be swallowed whole and she had to chew it.
Yes, I would say this was another successful option from Chewy! Thank you for the treats.
We've stopped all treats for Angel and Chuck, because of Chuck's IBD. However, these treats look fabulous; thanks for the review.

These sound great! It is nice to see so many companies coming out with higher nutrition treats for cats. I love that these come in so many flavors too.

ReplyDeleteSadly the resident cats don't like the Pure Bites, so I don't tend to keep them around. They've only tried the chicken; maybe I should try some other flavours. But I *think* it's the texture they don't like. Someone gave me a tip though; the "dog" treats are exactly the same -- freeze-dried meat, just bigger pieces -- and more economical. Buy the dog treats and break them into smaller pieces.
