Getting to know the kittens.

girl
boy
boy purring and making biscuits on DH's face

The boys are absolute loves, and absolute goofballs.. both are leapers, to the point that I'm starting to think they were faeries in a former life and don't realize they can't fly. Both purr like motor boats, and today when the black boy was up getting loves and purring, the gray one bolted for him as if to say, hey if there is loving going on, don't leave me out!!

The girls are a bit more reserved, but I see them coming around. Tigerlily is a princess.. at first anything new was wrong, and to be backed away from, but over time she would start to engage new toys and new experiences. She nearly goes limp when you pick her up like a rag doll.. and she kills me with her princess ways.  The black girl is a bit harder to get to know because I have to make the decision if I am looking or touching her or her brother, so I miss a few critical seconds there.. and she is happy not joining in. This weekend I went down to the kitten room to let them get to know me and I had three of the four of them in my lap napping, but she was happily snuggled up to Happy Bear. I do think she is going to be an attention seeker though, I think she's just busy right now, and content with her own company while she is doing what ever she finds so fascinating (last night it was getting caught up in the crinkle tunnel)

They are not fan of pate foods, which necessitated another run to the shelter. I picked up a few bags of dry food too, because they also seem to love that, and calories are king right now.  They have nice stools and they smell good.. so I see them going back probably the middle of next week if all goes well and they have room for them.  I'm tempted to hold on to them until the 22nd or so just so I have kittens.. because.. well you know..
