It was a dark and stormy night - the rescue of a three-legged cat #notreally
It was a dark and stormy night - no it wasn't. It was a cloudy and raining afternoon - that is more accurate...
It was a cloudy and raining afternoon when I went out to the local store to browse around when I returned to my car I saw something on the ground. I tend to look at the ground in a parking lot because I'm the kind of girl who picks up pennies and has a better day for finding them.
So I was walking back to my car, in the rain - it was drizzle - when I saw something on the ground.. as I approached I realized it was a kitty - a kitty? seriously?? Just look at this recreation..
The kitty was cold and wet so I scooped it up and took it home with me. Being so small I thought it best to get it into a nice warm bed - geeze.. seriously woman.. it's a gumball machine toy that some kid had too much fun with.. get over yourself..
After it had rested up and was warm I wondered if it was hungry. But what would this kitty eat? It looked like a wild cat breed that might like a larger type of prey..
I decided to let it hunt its own dinner down. I knew it wouldn't do well on a hard surface, only having three legs, so we went to the fields to give that a go - *headpalm*
Faster than the eye could see - you mean as fast as it took for you to pose that thing, take a photo, pose it again and hoped it didn't fall over before you took another photo, don't you??, the kitty had pounced on its prey, the wild cherry gummy bear. I was so proud.
You do realize this is what happens when the woman doesn't have foster kittens to care for, don't you? she starts getting kitten fever and thinks finding a toy in the parking lot is a rescue story. This is almost as bad as the Great Balloon Rescue a year ago!! If you aren't careful, she'll offer it for adoption and take applications for it. Wait, no, that is a fabulous idea, get it out of the house before she posts again!! Anyone wish to adopt a three-legged toy cat? I bet if you ask she'll send it to you.. but she'll probably ask for updates for her former fosters posts.. and she says she is not crazy...

We miss the kittens too!!! Okay, okay ... Bear Cat doesn't ... he breathes a sigh of relief because there's no chance his Momma will fall in love with a kitten and give him a sibling (Trout ... Paris ... EGAD!).
ReplyDeletehahaha that is funny, but your momma is just missing having little kittens around,xx Rachel
ReplyDeleteOMC, you really need some kittens! MOL
ReplyDeleteToo funny and very entertaining. Reminds me of an orange tripod I adopted from my vet. He was the sweetest kitty I ever had and wasn't afraid of the vacuum so I could vacuum him. Sadly, I only had him for 6 months when he succumbed to a very aggressive type of cancer. It broke my heart.
ReplyDeleteoh Roberta! I'm so sorry that happened. Cancer indeed sucks..
DeleteI would put in an adoption application, but my first update to you would be "he's lost under the bureau". 😉 I hope you get some kittens soon.
ReplyDeleteLOL.. better your bureau than mine!
