Smedley spends the day at the shelter

So earlier in the week I packed up Snow, Koshka and Cubbie to bring them back to the shelter.  I'm headed out of town today and my husband was overwhelmed at the idea of taking care of all of them. Verona also made weight but I thought it would be a good idea to keep her around.  I intend to make Issac Arnold and Smedley a bonded pair (since they are) when they go up for adoption and I wanted Mishka to have the chance to go home with a sibling.

Since I was headed into the shelter I thought I would bring Smedley in to have him looked at.  I was told to bring a stool sample in to test, but he refused to give one. So I left him there to hopefully get one.  I decided to bring Issac Arnold in for moral support.

I didn't get any information during the day, and when I stopped in to pick them up they apparently decided that giving a stool sample was way too personal (and heck they didn't even go pee) and refused.  I do not know what happened, but I was sent home with Tylan powder - which Smedley HATES - to give him.

So I brought the boys home and the girls (Mishka and Verona) were oh so happy to see them.  However all the boys wanted was to use the litter box.  Smedley went pee three times!!  He then finally started to poop and it was nice and solid.. *rolls eyes*   So I don't know if he is healing on his own, or if it was a fluke or what.. but we have been giving him the tylan, and hopefully by the time I get home on Monday evening he won't be having issues at all..

I am heading down to PA to go to a pet expo.  Nine hour drive.. should be interesting.  Heading home on Monday I have plans to stop in and see Robin over at CoveredinCatHair.com  Should make for some interesting posts coming up.. Not sure if I am going to have internet access or not while I'm there, so no idea when the posts will be going up..
