Muffin, my beautiful, crazy, sweet, incessant, delicate, indelicate, loving, demanding, cuddling purr box of love (whether you like it or not).
I actually kept Muffin out of 'revenge' (well if you keep him, I'm keeping her!) in an attempt to block further adoptions in the house as we were in a smaller house at the time and already had three cats. We ended up doubling our numbers with her litter.. and I couldn't be happier for it.
I am Muffin's favorite servant, pat-er, place to stand in the morning and demand food, thing to cuddle up to at night to feel safe and secure, and I think she believes she is the center of my world. I don't think she thinks she should be (although I'm sure there is some part of that), simply that it is a given fact that she is the center of the world. Recently she has been starting to let me spoon her.. which is really quite special.. although she has also started teaming up with Jack to make sure I wake up each morning completely and utterly surrounded by purrs and wet noses in places that wet noses should not go.
She started out life as "Scooter" and except for one short bout of URI that gave her one bad eye, she has been remarkably healthy. She barely shed for the first 10 years of her life, and now that she is
Muffin has beautiful amazing toehawks, and a belly you can get lost it. I am the only one she allows to pat her belly, even though she loves showing it off. My husband always thinks she is trying to trick him when she does this, I say she is just showing off because she can..
When Muffin wants something she isn't getting, she whines. In an almost cute chirp but yet a whine voice. It is cute for a few minutes, but then it really starts to hit home.. Sometimes she'll want to get back on the bed with me but I threw her off a while before (for what ever reason) so she'll sit at the end of the bed and make her little noise until I say "Muffin, will you get up here" and up she comes. This is also her "but mooooommmmm... Fleurp is STUUUUCK in the baaaaathroooom... with all that food.. she's not going to eat it.. you should open up this door and let me innnnnnnnnnnnnn" voice.. (turn up the volume, trust me, it's cute)
I love all of my cats, but Muff is the one that loves me back the most.. I think Jack loves me a little deeper than Muffin does, but she is by my side more frequently than he is.
Videos of Muffin chirping and whining, please. They sound adorable!
ReplyDeleteShe sounds like a real character! Everyone deserves a cat that loves them back like with that kind of enthusiasm.
ReplyDeleteAw, sweet Muffin! That belly! Such a cutiepie kitten as well! I can't blame you for the revenge adoption! :)
ReplyDeleteShe sounds just as demanding as Maia! Adorable!
She certainly became a beautiful lady cat. :-)
ReplyDeleteawww - so sweet :)
ReplyDeleteWe have always been very partial to beautiful Muffin because she looks so much like Laila. Such a sweetie!
ReplyDeleteOoh, what a lovely tummy. Reminds us of Giulietta in size and floofiness. Both Giulietta and Fiona can whine until mom is ready to pull her hair out. It mostly happens when they want to go back on the Catio after we have come in for dinner. We don't go out after that, but they think if they whine enough Mom will give in. She never does. XO, Lily Olivia, Maurico, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
ReplyDeleteShe sure is a beauty and we can see the love in her eyes.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly had an irresistible baby face. :-)
ReplyDeleteShe's a lovely ladycat, obviously full of personality. I'm always amazed by how LARGE personalities can be, in such tiny (comparitively-speaking) bodies.
Muffin is a definitely larger-than-life personality!
ReplyDeleteAllie: Well when MUFFIN does it, I'm absolutely positive it's adorbs! When Faraday whines, it's like fingernails and blackboards. Truly. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteAllie: Muffin, girlfriend, you have ENDLESS green eyes!!
Muffin is so cute, even when she whines.
