Trying to get them used to humans I thought I'd let them have a go at one of my husband's slippers. Feet are so enticing to kittens I figured it had to be a hit. Well only one of them went for it as you can see.
Every time I get underweight handshy kittens I end up feeling a bit like the wicked witch from Hansel and Gretel. I am plying them with lots of food and keep them locked up. They know other kittens have been in the room and now they are not... I'm guessing they think I eat them. I sure do hope they get over this hating me thing sooner rather than later.
Baby feral kittens are so funny! I'm sure they will trust you in time. You have your ways...
ReplyDeleteOh how cute, I wonder if the kitten got to Narnia :-) I wonder what is kitties' fascination for human feet. They seem to like the smell so much. I'm sure they will figure out that you are good human they can trust :-)

ReplyDeleteI'm sure it's not 'hate', rather fear of the unknown. Those survival instincts are so strong! And yet, as you wheedle them with treats and slippers, they WILLl turn around. You know they will...you are practically a kitten whisperer! We have faith in you!
