I saw her at the shelter when I was picking up supplies for the fosters I already had, and I HAD to have her. She had just come in and wasn't ready to go into a foster home yet, so I went back to work until she was ready. They tested her and let me know and I drove back to the shelter to get her, and as I was driving in the name popped into my head. A few months back I had been fostering a kitten I want to call Fleur (after Fleur de Lis) but she ended up going into another foster home and the name didn't stick. For some reason Fleurp popped up in my head and I knew it was perfect.. which was a riot because I had only seen the kitten, and she was meatloafed in a cage.. but as I got to know her, it seemed more and more perfect.. and despite not having an opening in the house for another cat, it seemed so perfect that she was with us, that I could not let her go.
Loved reading the story you left for Eastside Cats. We've always thought Fleurp is a terrific name. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
