Awards..

Don't you just love those fun Awards other bloggers create and distribute!  They are a fun way to get to know other bloggers and get a smidge of recognition for yourself.  I do love getting them but I stink at giving them away because I hate to feel like I'm excluding anyone.

Recently though I got one from Feline Purr-spective.  Sherlock Travler and Ash awarded me

We link back to Nerissa who made this great award.
I'm supposed to mention things you might not know about me.. um.. well I pretty much put everything down on the blog.. but I suppose those of you who haven't read back issues of the blog might like a refresher course.  Hi!, I'm Connie.  I was born in 1971 which makes me currnetly (does math) 41.. I'm married about to celebrate my (does more math) 22nd wedding anniversary on December 22nd.  I'm a furmom to "The Crew" which currently means seven kitties (four girls three boys) and four GA (gone ahead or guardian angel) kitties. I adore fostering kittens and love talking kitties, and I am apparently the type of person whom people feel very comfortable talking about cat urination and defecation with - and I am perfectly OK with that! :)

I also got one from Celestial Kitties:

LOL.. yup, same award.. Andrea got it from Sherlock, Travler and Ash and she awarded it to me too.. *blush*  Thank you..

So something else about me.. Um.. I don't take complements very well (I tend to blush and brush it off as no big deal) but I am working on it.  I tend to harass other people when they do the exact same thing.. as I know full well we should be able to be proud of what we do and accept the praise of other people.. but knowing it and living it... well you know :)

And back in August I got one from Rainbow at Purrs, Meows, Etc.

Anyone know where this one originated?
ack! Something else about me.. um..

I also like turtles, pumpkins, polar bears and bunnies.  My pumpkins need to be unmutilated (aka not jack o' lanterns) and my polar bears must be sans penguins (because everyone knows that polar bears live at the north pole and penguins live in the southern hemisphere)

I am also horribly spelling impaired.  I adore the fact that my browser now has built in spell check because when I go back to past posts looking for information I am horrified by all the red squiggly lines.  Oddly enough I have a fairly high IQ and have always been at the top of my class when I am in school, but I just can't spell.  Neither can my father, nor can my nephew...

So enough about me.. how about you?? Tell me something about you..

  1. I can't spell either and neither can my dad. They tried everything but it just won't stick in my head. I have trouble learning new phone numbers etc too. Something about ordering made up symbols. Spelling check is a blessing!

    Congrats on your awards!

  8. Congrats on your awards. It's funny that you mention that you can't spell. I have a sister that way (and she's in upper management too)! As for sharing about myself, my first few memories of life have cats in them--from when I was four years old. Isn't that cool? ;-)
