Post surgery update
I've been watching the kittens on the web cam. Theo and Thea are almost back to normal. Riki is quite improved too. But the three of them are eating and playing so I am sure in time they will be fine. Niki is eating, but she is isolating. I checked on her incision and the edges came apart a little so I put some antibiotic ointment on it and put a bitter ointment outside of the incision to deter licking. Tiki did seem happier to see me and even purred when I patted her. She also came to check out the food I put down for them, but did little more then sniff at it. While I wish she would eat, check out the food is far better then ignoring the food all together.
I wish I had some buprenex for them.

I will keep checking your updates. Seems a bit odd to me the way they are behaving but what do I know, I only have one cat. Good luck and fingers crossed for these kitties. Kudos!!!!!keep up this wonderful rescue work.

That's a welcome update. We'll keep those purrs coming their way.
ReplyDeleteFingers and paws crossed that everyone keeps getting better!
ReplyDeletepoor babies....I feel the same way about Duke - just wish I could do something.....
ReplyDeleteWe are purring and praying hard for your babies!!! We hope they get better soon. xxoo
ReplyDeleteContinued purrs. Why didn't they give you appropriate-dose pain meds? My vet has been willing to give me 2 days' dose to keep on hand for emergencies with Derry -- buprenorphine. Actually, I need to replace it this month, as the shelf life is 6 months, the vet told me.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm just surprised the babies didn't get sent home with something in case it was needed. We certainly hope everyone will be okay!
I hope the sweet things recover soon!! I’m sure they will with all the good care they are getting :) xx
ReplyDeleteOh the poor dears.
ReplyDeleteWe are glad things are starting to get back to normal for them.

Tika and Abby came home with four days worth of pain meds after their spay surgeries a couple of weeks ago (a dropper full of liquid every two days). They never acted like they needed it, but I gave it to them anyway just in case. I hope your sweet girls get something to help them soon.
ReplyDeleteAwww... Poor wee kitties! Sending them hugs and purrs!

try Tiki on some thing she normally loves to eat and keep giving her extra loving and she'll come round

ReplyDeleteWe sure do send our strongest purrs to all of them in hopes they will feel better soon. Take care.
