Skippy my Hero
Last night after coming out of the kitten room, we saw several of the kitties milling around. This is not an usual occurrence, but what was unusual was the big black thing on the floor right where Skippy had been standing.
It had not been there when we walked in, and upon closer inspection we found a rather large fat juicy brownish black spider on it's back with it's legs all folded in. I thought it was dead, but it twitched so I am guessing that the Skipster found it and killed it for us.. and brought it to us..
I shudder at the thought of that thing IN the house. I'm all for spiders mind you, stay out there and eat all the bugs you want.. but stay out of my house darn it!
I'm just glad there are no poisonous spiders in my state..

ewwwwwww - good boy Skippy!!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! We get harmless spiders in the house sometimes, but there are black widows that live outside. My human does not believe in killing creatures, but she makes an exception for those because one bite from them can kill a kitty.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Skippy! We sure hope you got some treats for saving the day! :)
ReplyDeleteWe're mighty glad there are no poisonous spiders around there (or here!). Good work, Skippy!
ReplyDeleteI am with you on keeping them out of the house its a good thing they killed it for you.... image finding it alive in your house somewhere yikes!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I should not read this blog when I am eating lunch. . . .but good for him! Hope he gets a reward for a job well done.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Skippy!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways better when they save us from those things LOL!
ReplyDeleteEwwwww....I hate spiders too!
ReplyDeleteMy cats wouldn't allow it to live and I expect the only evidence would have been some bits ...or maybe a burp!
Good work Skippy!
I'm glad we don't have poisonous bugs and spiders here,xx
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Skippy for saving you from the spider!
ReplyDeleteNice job, Skippy. If those critters insist on coming into a house full of kitties, they just have to take their chances on getting squashed or even eaten.
ReplyDeleteAw! Huge purrs to all the babies, Snow and to Jack. We hope and pray that everyone is doing better.
