Cat tree in full bloom

The builder who built my house took absolutely no consideration to natural sunlight when he built it. I don't mind as I have a strong preference to twilight type lighting, but my solar powered cats seek it out whenever they can.  In the morning as I am heading out to work this cat tree gets a few hours of natural light, so there is usually at least one cat in it, and often there is two and one on the floor. This day was no exception, except Fleurp didn't think being on the floor was good enough for her..

although I'm not quite sure how much natural light she is getting in there..

  1. We don't get anywhere near enough light here either - except in the master bedroom, where it is generally not wanted!

  2. And Handsome Jack says "Aren't I handsome, Humom? Pet me, love me, you don't need to go to that silly work place.."

  3. Our windows are nearly all north/south, so we get limited light, too. Humans need to build with sunbeams in mind!

  4. Lucy is lucky, we get a ton of light here...

  5. Niko likes to sit in the sun light. Sometimes I find him in a small puddle of light :-) I wish we could get more light, too. Your kitties got such a great spot, lovely view with hours of natural lights!

  6. Since Angel has white fur on the tips of her ears, we are careful about the amount of sunlight she gets, so we draw the blind halfway down the front window. Over the years, we've noticed that she doesn't sit in direct sunlight anymore; always in the shadow. Guess she learned from us! However, I must say that a kitty in full sun has the warmest fur, and it's luscious for humans to touch!

  7. Our cats are pretty lucky in that we have two south-facing windows in the master bedroom, and some in the craft room that face west.

  8. same here - our windows face a weird direction so we get limited sunlight. plus we have to shift around as it moves....

  10. Aw, always great to see your kitties. We've got too great windows with lots of sun, one in the spring/summer and the other in the fall/winter. The kitties just love it. Annie never had a true sun puddle until we moved here and her happiness for it was noticeable. Jack and Fleurp and everyone look so happy in that lovely window.

  11. That sun looks great...even if it's short-lived. We have lots of big windows in our living room and we love to sit in them and soak up the sun.

  13. That looks like a great spot to get some rays and watch bird TV. Fleurp is her own cat, and that's okay. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
