Monday Morning Mayhem

For a couple of years now I've been wanting to provide a box of leaves for my foster kittens to play in. I live in a home on a slight hill and no real trees to speak of so we don't have leaves here, so I would have to steal leaves from someone else's yard. I can't imagine anyone (but me) minding if someone came on to their property and took leaves, but I still felt very uncomfortable doing it which is why this post took years.  This Halloween when we were out watching the spectacle I find a nice clump of leaves in a public place that seemed protected from people throwing their trash in it so I went and collected a bag of them.

The kittens had a huge skeptical about the leaves, as you can see from Winnow's reaction, but were okay dealing with them one at a time. I would totally love to leave them a big box full of leaves for them to enjoy but I know full well I'd be cleaning leaf bits up out of the kitten room for years to come.

I do say I really enjoyed Lovey's reaction to the leaves.. she almost immediately became very happy and enjoyed them quite a bit as you can see.

As for 'updates' .. yeah, once again healthy happy kittens are boring kittens.. nothing really to report on them health wise. They are still eating up a storm, still happy healthy and adorable.. I really want to say it is nice to have an uneventful foster group, but I'm not that stupid.. I know the minute I say that it is going to go south fast.. so I won't.
