Adoption Stories - Penelope

I have been very fortunate of late to find so many adopters via the internet lately.. First Issac Arnold and Smedley, then Perkins and now Little Miss Penelope.

She was adopted by a someone who I met through Robin over at CoveredInCatHair.com.  Robin fell in love with our little Lion and by doing so she shared the litter with her friends.  Kelly was looking to adopt and fell in love as well.

She came up last week to meet the whole litter and see which one, if any, would be her kitty. Before she came up, I got the email from Deb that she was interested in Perkins.  I had a good feeling that Perkins was not the kitty for Kelly just by her description of what she was looking for, but we wanted to wait and see, and it ended up working out very nicely for both parties involved.

They came up the other week and spent some time talking and visiting with me and then with the kittens.  I was fairly certain she would end up with our little "Blue Eye" and it was meant to be.

At the time they were not quite ready and so she waited while they were neutered and healed up. She was going to come up Monday but did not feel comfortable due to the weather. Tuesday was kind of sketchy too, but she was able to make it up and she stopped by to visit with the kittens again and then we packed up and headed over to the shelter.

It sounds like everyone is doing very well which is so nice.

Our two remaining kittens are reverting a little, choosing to run from me at the first hint of my doing anything, instead of giving me the benefit of the doubt. Wednesday morning they barely came out to see me. The evening went a little better. I got them to come over to me for a few nibbles of food, and come very close in play, and at one point The Kitten that looks like Melody sniffed my toe, as well as running over my leg (and touching it too).  Am going to return them to the cage for the night to see if I can remind them that I only bring good things. We'll see how long I feel comfortable leaving them in there.. hopefully it isn't long and they 'figure it all out' if you will.
