Jack and the Jones Natural Chews Woofers

Is it treat time? it must be treat time, look how cute I am!!
Last October when I went to Barkworld, Jones Natural Chews had a booth there. They are a dog treat company, but I talked to them about Jack and his need for animal based treats. At the time they had a product called the Woofermen.  I had tried pressed dried treats before, and they were never a big hit with my cats, but I was kinda light on the swag from Barkworld and I had a whole suitcase to fill so I took a couple.

Well I should have taken a couple of more, because Jack LOVED them. He wasn't a fan of breaking it into pieces himself, so I made sure they were broken into small pieces for him, but he gobbled them right up.

When I went to BlogPaws, Jones was back.  I talked to the really nice folks there and told them of my experience with the Woofermen, and while they didn't have any Woofermen there, they did have Woofers - which are basically the same thing only round and not people shaped.

enough with the talking, more with the treat giving!!
I took a few, and as the show was wrapping up I took a few more.. anything to make my boy happy!

Oh momma, are these ALL MINE?!?
right? they are all mine.. I mean you gave them to me..
Jack was very excited to get a sniff of these, and very politely (as in he didn't chew my fingers off) asked for some.

He ate the first few bites of them, but then a piece was too big and it fell out of his mouth (it doesn't help that he is missing all of the teeth on one side of his lower jaw) and he pretty much gave up.  I don't know if it is because these are thicker than the Woofermen, or what.  I'll try again in a couple of days and make sure I break them into really small pieces.

I tried getting photos of him gobbling up the treats, but he was too fast ;)

If you can find an individual Woofer, I imagine the cost wouldn't be that great, and it very well could be your kitty's next favorite thing ever.. and with just one ingredient (beef) it is something you can be more comfortable feeding your obligate carnivore.

disclaimer because we all feel the need to put those in these days.  I got the product free of charge because they were giving them away to attendees. I was not asked to nor did I receive any additional compensation for reviewing this product. I did it because I like taking photos of my Jack and sharing them with you... because seriously, look at him! He's freakin awesome.

One of my boys gets sick if he eats beef, so we don't get beef treat here. But Woofers treat sounds very yummy!

  7. Now how did the mom miss these treats at BlogPaws? Probably because they were labeled as dog treats.

  9. I think I left a comment? iPads are weird creatures. This is Flea, blogger for Jones. Let me know if you'd like to try some beef liver taffy for Jack. I'll have Jones send a pack.
