Ever wonder

Have you ever wondered why a mother cat starts spending more and more time away from the nest??   I was watching the kittens this morning and saw this..

 Sweet happy family, Petra's little paws up while she's nursing.. awww.. how lovely..

Meira is just off to the side.. well in this shot the bottom of the image.  She spends more and more time away from them.  But then she forgets how they fidget, and goes back for a while.. and a lot of the time before they can really latch on and nurse they get to much for her and she leaves again for a while..

Don't worry, they aren't hurting, they are still quite hefty kittens..
