I brought some more chicken down to the kittens. It took Maru a few moments to figure out I wasn't trying to pull something over on her, then she was NOT going to let it go.. Don't worry, I shared with the rest of them (and they, like Maru, were not willing to share once they got it)
I really wish mine would take an interest in human food--even cooked, not necessarily raw--but they don't. Raw would be the way to go, though!

ReplyDeleteI was still volunteering at the shelter when Harley lived there. Every morning, I would give all the cats and kittens in cages a little bowl of canned food, which was a treat since the shelter feeds Science Diet kibble. Whenever Harley would get his, he would gobble it up real fast looking left and right and growling the whole time. Since he has lived with us, I have never once heard him growl. I guess it must be a kitten thing!
