I have come up with names for this band of kittens.  It started when the little tiger kitten left the group yet again and came after me.  Every time I get a wandering girl kitten I always start calling her Amelia after Amelia Earhart.  Which got me thinking about Amelia the traveler.. and since I was watching all of the episodes of the new Doctor Who (from when he met Rose Tyler, to Mickey Smith, to Donna Nobel,  to Amy Pond and Rory Williams (Fez are cool!)

So, we now have Amelia, Rory, Mickey, Rose and Donna.. (too bad we don't have too more girls for River and Martha.. or Sarah Jane.. )

Now I tried to get them all lined up to take a photo to tell you who is who.. I think this is a good time to mention I am quite in awe of Laurie at and how she gets her kittens to all line up and SIT THERE for photos..

Rose,  Mickey, Donna, Amelia, Rory
Mickey and Donna broke ranks and were making a break for it..  and Mayhem ensued..
Donna likes to sit there and observe..
Rory and Mickey (and I believe Donna's head)
So I tried again..
and I gave up...

Hmm.. The pictures don't seem to be working for me. I can't wait to see which kitten is named Rory though! (I am quite partial to that name ;-)

This is a clearer shot from an earlier post. Rory is the white kitty with striped spots. Mickey is the white kitty with black spots.

  3. Oh, Connie, they couldn't be cuter, OMC!!

Julie says she likes Amelia. Reminds her of her very first kitty, a calico.

You did a great job keeping them "in line!"

  4. Awww, you got them lined up pretty good in the beginning! The temptation to play is too much, I guess!

  5. I envy/don't envy you having a brood that young. They are so precious, but I can't imagine trying to see that all those tiny kitties get fed.

I can't help but notice that one seems to "belong to the postman".....just sayin'.

  6. it took me a long time to figure out what you meant belongs to the post man. I felt quite silly when it hit me..

actually the girls all have the same similar markings but Amelia just has it all over. She's not so out in left field as you might think upon initial viewing (and with these horrid picts)

But cats do often have "step siblings" since cats don't ovulate until long after they are mated for the first time after their heat cycle starts(a day, maybe two) and thus can be mated by a second and third male before conception.
