For some reason my blog has been coming up quite a bit lately in searches for "Hug Your Cat Day" I originally posted about it back in 2008 and haven't seen such traffic on that search ... well ever. Not sure if it is because my blog is a bit more out there now then it has ever been, or if all of a sudden hugging your cat has become more popular! :)
National Hug Your Cat Day is a wee bit controversial. Searches on the subject have it listed as May 12, May 30 or June 4. For some reason I choose to celebrate it in June.. (maybe cause my birthday is in June.. or June is Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month) But then again, I am absolutely positive I hugged my cat on every single one of those days.. and a few additional cats for good luck! :)
