As for Derry-Bear: I've been unjustifiably paranoid about both boys' pee clumps, off and on since Annie's passing (as well as everything else that normally goes "amiss" with them). So I hope it was just a silly knee-jerk reaction on my part. But if I see small clumps in the litter box later today or tomorrow, I'll be getting him in ASAP.

P.S. I don't know why I panic. I know what the worst case scenario is--death. Isn't accepting the worst-case scenario supposed to bring acceptance and calmness? Hmm.
